Tonight, we begin a series focusing on the diverse and cinematic ambience of Loneward, one of the projects of ambient master Mike Carss, perhaps better known to ambient fans as Altus.

Mike is one of our very favorite ambient artists, with a catalog that stretches all the way back to 2001. He covers much ambient territory, from pulsing sequences to pure tonal ear candy. Always present is the overwhelming sense we are hearing a soundtrack, as if some epic movie was being played that we can’t quite see, but the music is so good we are transfixed nonetheless. We do love his work.

Tonight, we’ll hear music from Beyond The Sea Part Two, Gossamer Wings of Illusion, Abridged Dimensions, and Fractional Dimensions Volume 4.
