We are sometimes asked if we accept music submissions for airplay, and the answer is unequivocally “yes”. We love meeting new artists and hearing new ambient music.
We have a simple procedure to follow:
- First, simply listen to the station and verify that your music is actually a match for our format (hit the big play button above). All we ask is that you listen to the station for an hour or two to get a sense of what we play and what we do not play.
- Next, if you feel your music is a match, please send an email to us with the following information in it:
– Your real name
– Artist name(s)
– URL(s) from which we can download your music
– Any recommendations for specific tracks
– A sentence that says:
“Ambient Underground has my permission to air my music until I email them otherwise.”
Please be patient with us, as our submissions backlog can sometimes grow large and we do go on holiday sometimes too.
Finally, if we decide for any reason your music is not a fit for the station, please do not despair. It merely says that there was something about your music that conflicted with our format, not that there is some kind of quality issue with it or even that we didn’t like it. We love tons of music that we cannot play on the station, and we only have 24 programming hours per day. It’s really that simple.
